In 2005, author David Foster Wallace gave his commencement speech to the graduating class of Kenyon College. It has come to be considered one of the more influential speeches concerning education, awareness, the intellect, empathy, and our role within this world. David Foster Wallace took his own life a scant 3 years after giving this address, leaving us with a lasting reminder of the impact our thoughts can have on our realities, for better or worse.

We made this video, built around an abridged version of the original audio recording, with the hopes that the core message of the speech could reach a wider audience who might not have otherwise been interested. – The Glossary
